PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper molded vessel which has oil resistance, mold releasability, heat resistance, and proper gas permeability, allows a baked food to be removed easily, and maintains surface mold releasability even if used repeatedly, and to provide a sheet of base paper for making such a molding vessel. SOLUTION: The base paper for the molding vessel is made by forming a release agent layer on at least one surface of a sheet of base material paper. The surface of the release agent layer has a dynamic friction coefficient of 0.3 or less (which is measured under a condition that the bottom face of a weight made of an ABS resin is under a pressure of 1.96 kPa according to the JIS-P8147 horizontal method), and an air permeability (JIS-P8117) of 100 to 5,000. An undercoat layer is formed between the base material paper and the release agent layer. The paper molding vessel is formed of a blank sheet made of the above base paper for the molding vessel.
