ATARACTIC AGENT AND FUNCTIONAL FOOD

Disclosed are a pharmaceutical agent and a functional food each of which comprises a safe food component or nutrient having long experience of food production, and which has an ataractic activities including an anxiolytic activity, an antidepressant activity and an anti-stress activity. Specifically disclosed is an ataractic agent comprising a vitamin K as an active ingredient. The vitamin K is preferably menaquinone-4 and/or menaquinone-7. Also specifically disclosed is a supplement, health food or functional food for ataractic purposes, which comprises a vitamin K as an active ingredient.
