The invention relates to a gearbox having an oil trap device capturing the lubricating oil spun away from the gear wheels and supplying the bearings. The oil trap device comprises trap plates, which extend in a curved shape around the gear wheels and are attached in guide tubes. The guide tubes receive the lubricating oil from the trap plates and hold the trap plates on the gearbox housing.
