It is possible to effectively report modulation information to a communic ation partner. A communication method decision device includes: a first modu lation information decision unit (1) which decides first modulation informat ion for each of subcarriers or each of grouped subcarrier groups according t o bit map information decided by propagation path information and modulation information; a data conversion unit (2) which converts the first modulation information into a different data space; a second modulation information de cision unit (3) which compresses the converted data and decides the second m odulation information to be reported to the communication partner; an invers e data conversion unit (4) which inversely converts the modulation informati on into the original data space; and a third modulation information decision unit (5) which decides third modulation information for each of the subcarr iers or each of the grouped subcarrier groups according to the inversely con verted data and the bit map information.
