<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device such as a digital camera equipped with a cable communication means and a radio communication means for performing data communication with an external device and capable of easily performing the data communication while making a special setting operation, etc. unnecessary without spoiling operability even when the imaging device is loaded in a waterproof case. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device 100 capable of performing data communication with the external device, includes: the cable communication means 22 for transmitting and receiving a data signal to/from the external device by cable connection; the radio communication means 20, 21 for transmitting and receiving the data signal to/from the external device by radio communication; communication control means 31b, 31c for performing on/off control of the cable communication means and the radio communication means; and a detection means 33 for detecting that a case 103 which covers the whole of the imaging device is loaded, wherein the communication control means are constituted so that off-control is performed to the cable communication means and on-control is performed to the radio communication means when the detection means detects that the case is loaded in the imaging device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
