<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater for preventing the tapping of high temperature hot water due to the removal of a tapping pipe or a faucet, in accordance with a siphon phenomenon. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater comprises an intermediate tapping pipe 13 provided in an intermediate portion of a hot water storage tank 1, a first mixing valve 14 for mixing high temperature water supplied from an upper tapping pipe 12 and medium temperature water supplied from the intermediate tapping pipe 13, and a second mixing valve 17 for mixing hot water mixed and supplied by the first mixing valve 14 and water supplied from a water supply pipe 10. It has hot water supply operation while controlling the openings of the first mixing valve 14 and the second mixing valve 17 to supply hot water at a temperature desired by a user. The first mixing valve 14 sets a restricting position of restricting the lower limit of the opening not to be a fully opening position on the side of the intermediate tapping pipe 13 and controls the opening in a range from the restricting position to the fully opening position on the side of the upper tapping pipe 12 during hot water supply operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
