PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for killing foamed molten slag showing sufficient effect without raising the cost, with which in the case that foaming of the molten slag in a melting furnace or exhausted from the melting furnace occurs, as a means for killing the foaming, pretreatment such as the adjustment of components, the formation and the adjustment of a size of a foaming killing agent is not necessary. SOLUTION: In the method for killing the foamed molten slag in the melting furnace or exhausted from the melting furnace; this killing method for foamed molten slag has the peculiarity, in which microwave is applied to the foamed molten slag.
