PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transplanting seaweed seedlings enabling efficient setup of seaweed such as eelgrass and a high settling ratio even at a place on which seaweeds easily flow out due to ocean waves so as to stably grow, suitable for transplantation of seaweed seedlings mass-produced from seeds at shore-based facilities, and preventing natural eelgrass from depletion or reduction. SOLUTION: The method for transplanting seaweed seedlings comprises setting a plurality of biodegradable containers 4 charged with the seaweed seedlings (eelgrass seedlings 3) and charging coarse fragments 2 controlling the number of seals in a base board 1 composed of an iron basket-state container, and settling the base board 1 on the bottom of the sea in a suspended condition from above the water surface.
