The device (16) has a wheel-slip brake controller (21) and a pressure interface (14) for vehicle longitudinal controls (15). The controller provides pressure requirements for wheel brake actuators (17-20). Wheel pressures for the actuators are regulated based on pressure requirement by a control program of the controller in a regulation mode. Additional pressure values are provided to a control program over the interface. The control program allows positive pressure values and negative pressure values with the additional pressure values, which are transmitted over the interface.
