<p>A shaft assembly is provided including a shaft (9) having a plurality of threads (9c) formed therealong, and a shaft housing structure including a lubricant source (13) in fluid communication with a threaded portion of the shaft (9). A lubricant (101) is positioned in the lubricant source (13) in contact with the threaded portion of the shaft (9). A funnel portion (S2) is in fluid communication with the lubricant source (13), and a shaft guide portion (S1) is in fluid communication with the funnel portion (S2). A portion of the shaft projects to an exterior of the housing through a shaft exit portion. The shaft exit portion is in fluid communication with the shaft guide portion (S1) and defines a flow path for the lubricant (101) to the lubricant source. Rotation of the shaft (9) urges lubricant (101) from the lubricant source (13) sequentially into the funnel portion (S2), the shaft guide portion (S1), and the shaft exit portion, whereby the lubricant (101) is returned to the lubricant source (13).</p> |
