<p>An electric lamp system for controlling the number of lighted lamps is provided to simply control the number of lighted lamps by using one switch and one wiring. An electric lamp system for controlling the number of lighted lamps includes a plurality of lamps, a switch unit, a control unit(30), and a power switch. The switch unit controls a selected number of lamps to be lighted according to a selection signal. The control unit transmits the selection signal to the switch unit. The power switch supplies or cuts off power to the switch unit and the control unit. The control unit has an off time information providing unit(37) and a microprocessor(33). The off time information providing unit provides off time information of the power switch. The microprocessor generates the selection signal to increase or reduce the number of lighted lamps than before the power switch is switched to an off state when determining that the power switch is switched to an on state before elapse of a predetermined time after the power switch is switched to the off state, based on the off time information.</p> |
