The invention relates to a device for opening bottles closed by caps, and defining a cap lifter (16) that can be actuated with one hand, comprising m eans (9) for automatically maintaining said cap (12) after opening and inclu ding at least one uncapping bearing area (14) that allows, when bearing on t he cap itself, the application of a force that compels the cap, by a slight deformation thereof, to be separated from the bottle. The above tool is char acterised in that it comprises at least one spacing bearing area (10) bearin g on the flange of the bottle in order to, after uncapping the bottle and wh ile bearing on the bottle, to separate the top of the tool for pouring the c ontent of the bottle without any interference by the tool nor the cap. The i nvention also relates to a related method for making a cap lifter variant.
