<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wasteful consumption of gas from an inflator while suppressing dorsiflexion and twist of an occupant's ankles. <P>SOLUTION: An airbag device is provided with an inflator 30, which is arranged below the front end of a seat cushion 15 of a driver's seat 14, and an airbag 40 having an ankle rest part 51 for resting both ankles Ph of a driver at its front part. Gas G from the inflator 30 is led to the ankle rest part 51 from the rear part 44 through an intermediate part inside the airbag 40. Thus, each part of the airbag 40 is inflated so as to push up the ankles Ph on the ankle rest part 51. A gas-flow prevention part 61 for preventing a flow of the gas G is provided between the rear part 44 and the ankle rest part 51 of the airbag 40. A part other than the gas-flow prevention part 61 between the rear part 44 and the ankle rest part 51 is made as the intermediate part (each intermediate part 56L, 56R).
