PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television reception controller capable of controlling viewing limitation to a digital television broadcast receiver being a device to be controlled even while the digital television broadcast receiver being a controller is off and even when a failure occurs in communication. SOLUTION: In the television reception controller (201_1), a master receiver (201a) receives and reproduces broadcast data DB from a cable television network (10) and also communicates with a slave receiver 201b through a home network, the slave receiver (201b) receives and reproduces the broadcast data DB from the cable television network (10), also communicates with the master receiver (201a) through the home network, and stops receiving the broadcast data (DB) when communication with the master receiver (201a) is not established for a prescribed period (Tp1).
