PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus which has AD converting circuits for rows and performs arithmetic processing on a digitized signal, register circuits which do not contribute to operation being decreased in number to improve use efficiency of circuits even when horizontal thinning-out operation is performed and digital signals held in a plurality of register circuits are used for operation. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging device has the register circuits 107 each of which receives at an input terminal a digital signal output from an output terminal of an AD converter 106 and holds the digital signal, and a connection means, each of which connects the output terminal of the AD converter and an input terminal of a register circuit provided for a different column of a plurality of pixels from the AD converter, or connects the output terminal of the register circuit to the input terminal of a register circuit provided for a different column of a plurality of pixels from the register circuit.
