<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a street light lighting system capable of achieving efficient light distribution suitable for the purpose of illumination of an installation place by using a small number of light emitting diodes, and changing angles of an illumination units. <P>SOLUTION: This street light lighting system is provided with a post a1, and a luminaire a2 held to an upper part of the post a1. The illumination units 5 each composed by integrating a lens 3 with a light emitting diode 4 are mounted to the luminaire a2 to be oriented downward by angle changing means 6.
