<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open circuit voltage detection device and its method capable of correctly detecting an open voltage even there exists a dark current in the car. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage detecting means detects the terminal voltage of the battery mounted on the car. A difference detecting means detects the difference (V<SB>CHG</SB>- V<SB>45</SB>), where the mean charging voltage V<SB>CHG</SB>is the mean value of terminal voltage from start to the end of charging, and the terminal voltage V<SB>45</SB>is the value at the time P<SB>45</SB>when 45 minutes have elapsed after the charging had finished. A storage means has previously stored the difference (V<SB>CHG</SB>- V<SB>45</SB>) and the relations of the open circuit voltage. An open circuit voltage detection means detects the open circuit voltage corresponding to the difference (V<SB>CHG</SB>- V<SB>45</SB>) detected by the difference detection means from the relations stored in the storage means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
