<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread cutting insert which enables effective utilization of an insert body by increasing the number of a thread cutting blade usable by one insert body and is economical. <P>SOLUTION: On an edge section 4 common to front and back faces 2 of an insert body 1, a pair of cutting blade sections 5 that project from the edge section 4 when viewed from a direction facing the front and back faces 2 are formed, and on at least two out of four projecting faces that respectively face the front and back face 2 sides of the pair of these cutting blade sections, a thread cutting blade 7 is formed in a side ridge part of a rake face 6 with the projecting face serving as a rake face 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
