摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for an organic electroluminescence element having a high fluorescence quantum yield, easy to purify with little damage to an organic material when purifying by sublimation, an organic EL element having high luminance, high efficiency and a long life, imparting little damage to the organic material when making the organic EL element by vapor deposition, and further a novel compound which can be favorably used for the element. SOLUTION: The material for the organic electroluminescence element comprising a biindole derivative is used. The material is excellent particularly in blue-color light emission due to a specific structure, hardly causes concentration quenching, and has both of high light emitting luminance and a long life. The organic EL element made using the material can be favorably used for a flat panel display and a planar light emitting body so that it can be applied to a light source for a copy machine, a printer, and the like, a light source for a liquid crystal display, measuring instrument gauges and the like, and a display panel, a marker lamp and the like.
