PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus (electronic information transmitting/receiving apparatus) which appropriately alarms a sender, prior to executing a transmission job, about the transmission job having the possibility of failing the transmission when transmitting electronic data via a network. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus (the electronic information transmitting/receiving apparatus) is an electronic information transmitting/receiving apparatus, which comprises: a network interface unit; a log table holding unit which holds histories of transmission of electronic data files, reception of electronic data files and reception of transmission error messages and creates an alarm table collecting conditions on which the transmission of electronic data file may be failed, on the basis of the three histories; and an error alarm unit which determines the necessity of the alarm based on the alarm table when transmitting the next electronic data file, and displays the alarm on a display unit.
