PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer for electrostatic latent image development, the developer that prevents peeling or scraping in a coating resin layer and deposition of inorganic particles as an external additive to a carrier in stirring a toner and a carrier in repeated development for a long period of time, that has excellent transfer property, carrier contamination preventing property and stable charging performance and that can stably form an image for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The developer for electrostatic latent image development contains a toner composition comprising toner particles containing at least a colorant and a binder resin and inorganic particles, and a carrier comprising core particles and a coating resin layer coating the surface of the core particles, wherein the coating resin layer comprises a specified polycarbonate resin.
