A male connector assembly is provided to operate a spacer while a grommet installing unit is mounted at a mounting part of a housing by forming a spacer control hole at a grommet installing unit. A male connector assembly comprises a housing(50) and a grommet installing unit(70). The housing includes a coupling part(52) formed at a front end for connection with a connector and a mounting part(54) formed at a rear end. The grommet installing unit is mounted at the mounting part. The grommet installing unit has a spacer control hole(78) located at the same location as a spacer hole formed at the mounting part. A spacer(62) can be controlled in a condition that the grommet installing unit is mounted in the mounting part of the housing and a terminal is inserted in the housing.
