PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blur correction device capable of stably controlling the drive of a blur correction optical system and to provide an optical equipment. SOLUTION: The blur correction device (30) includes: a fixing section (31); a moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) having a blur correction optical system (25) and moving within a plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the blur correction optical system (25) relative to the fixing section (31); a first detecting section (35) for detecting relative movement of the fixing section (31) and the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) in a first direction (D1); a second detecting section (35) for detecting relative movement of the fixing section (31) and the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) in a second direction (D2); and a gravity center adjusting member (36) disposed in the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) so that the position of the gravity center (G1) of the moving section (25, 32, 34-1, 35-1) may be brought close to the intersection (C) of the detecting directions of the first detecting section (35) and the second detecting section (35).
