摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sugar chain-immobilized polymeric substrate which is highly safe and has high compatibility with blood, in which carbohydrate is immobilized to a polymeric substrate without a treatment with alkali, or without using a highly toxic compound such as bromoacetic acid, bromoacetic acid and 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether; and a production process therefor. SOLUTION: Disclosed are the sugar chain-immobilized polymeric substrate having a sugar chain and a production process thereof comprising bringing a polymeric substrate having a methylene group in the main chain into contact with a polymeric compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond and a sugar chain or a polymeric composition containing the polymeric compound followed by irradiation of ionizing radiation, or irradiating the polymeric substrate with ionizing radiation and then bringing the polymeric substrate into contact with the polymeric compound or the polymeric composition containing the polymeric compound.
