PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fix an actuator in a precisely positioned state. SOLUTION: The optical pickup is constructed in such a manner that in the positioned state of the act base 4 of an actuator 3 with respect to a slide base 2 by three-dimensional adjustment, positioning adhesives 18 and 19 are applied to a spaceαbetween one erected plate 10 and one support plate 16 and a spaceβbetween erected pieces 15a and 156b and the other support plate 17, both ends of the act base 4 are fixed to the slide base 2, the actuator 3 is driven to project a laser beam from an objective lens OL to a disk, and its reflected beam is received to read information recorded in the disk. A recess 21 is formed in the upper surface center of the one support plate 16, and the positioning adhesive 18 is applied from the spaceαbetween the one support plate 16 and the one erected plate 10 to the recess 21.
