PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge line for surely guiding an excavated soil to a ground surface in an earth auger. SOLUTION: The excavated soil conveyed in a casing tube 5 by an auger screw 4 is received by a collection container 30 installed at the top end of the casing tube. The excavated soil is thrown from the collection container into the discharge line extending toward the ground surface through a soil discharge chute 33. The discharge line has a plurality of tube elements 14 arranged continuously with each other in a chain shape, and is formed in a nested structure. The length of the discharge line is adjusted by storing or expanding the tube elements, and the discharge port at the lower end of the discharge line 11 is always maintained at the position slightly apart from the ground surface to prevent the surroundings from being contaminated.
