PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new waste water treatment method by which the power consumption is made lower than that of the conventional method using aerobic biological treatment and a soluble organic component, which is hardly treated by the conventional method using aerobic biological treatment, in waste water can be efficiently decreased. SOLUTION: The waste water treatment method is characterized in that the pressurized waste water is jetted through a nozzle to generate cavitation air bubbles, the generated cavitation air bubbles are brought into contact with the soluble organic component in the presence of an oxidizer, so that the soluble organic component in the waste water is efficiently decreased by the impact force when the minute cavitation air bubbles burst and the action of the oxidizer.
