PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope and an endoscope system capable of interrupting the power distribution from an outside device to a driving part when the endoscope is in a high-temperature state by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The endoscope has a temperature-sensitive switch 5 capable of switching the state of the endoscope to an ON-state in which the power is distributed from the outside device 200 to the driving part 6 or to an OFF-state in which the power distribution is interrupted according to the temperature of the endoscope. The temperature-sensitive switch 5 comprises a temperature-sensitive ferrite 511, a pair of permanent magnets 512 and 513, and a pair of switch pieces 52 and 53. If the temperature of the endoscope is lower than a prescribed temperature T, the switch pieces 52 and 53 are brought into contact with each other to switch the state to the ON-state by the collaboration of the permanent magnets 512 and 513 with the temperature-sensitive ferrite 511. If the temperature of the endoscope is higher than the prescribed temperature T, the switch pieces 52 and 53 are separated from each other to switch the state to the OFF-state by releasing the collaboration.
