<p>In a hologram recorder/reproducer, information to be recorded is recorded on a recording medium by irradiating the recording medium with signal light obtained by splitting a laser beam exiting a laser light source into two and performing two-dimensional spatial modulation to one of the split laser beams based on the recording information, and by irradiating the recording medium with reference light, i.e. the other split light beam. In the hologram recorder/reproducer, the information recorded on the recording medium based on a laser beam which passed through the recording medium or reflected on the recording medium is reproduced. The hologram recorder/reproducer has a shading means for intercepting passage of laser beam exiting the light source on the irradiation passage of laser beam in the recording process. A slit pattern consisting of a passing region where at least one slit is formed and a shading region where a slit is not formed is formed in the shading means and when it is rotary driven, the passing region and the shading region intercept the irradiation optical path of laser beam alternately.</p> |
