A method for preparing a gilded or silvered seaweed food product, and a gilded or silvered seaweed food product prepared by the method are provided to improve the appearance by gold or silver and to obtain the functional effect of gold or silver such as antidotal effect, etc. A method for preparing a gilded seaweed food product comprises the steps of (i) cutting the dried laver, brown seaweed, kelp or green laver by a size of 4 cm x 3 cm; (ii) coating 0.5 g of an edible glue on the one surface of the cut one per 1 g; (iii) adhering 0.001-0.05 mg of a gold foil powder, a gold foil piece or a sheet of gold foil on the edible oil-coated surface; and (iv) drying the gilded one at a room temperature for 24 hours, wherein the gilded gold has a purity of about 99.9 % and is edible. |
