<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cosmetic composition for a pack retaining skin moisture over a long period of time and imparting a nutritive ingredient and a functional ingredient to the skin over the long period of time during make-up without the need of washing off or peeling the pack after forming a thin film by high water solubility and excellent transparency and adhesiveness to the skin. <P>SOLUTION: A film formed by using a porphyran as a principal material of the cosmetic pack has the ultrahigh water solubility, excellent transparency and adhesiveness to the skin and forms an ultrathin film with little sense of incompatibility on the skin surface. Thereby, there is no need of peeling or washing off the film. The pack of the ultrathin film forms the ultrathin film naturally assimilating with the skin surface without the sense of incompatibility with the skin and is retaining an active ingredient of the skin and a humectant ingredient on the skin over the long period of time.
