PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device operation assisting apparatus which is capable of easily recognizing the entire image of a device system and enables operations to be easily performed on the complicated device system by intuitive operations.

SOLUTION: The device operation assisting apparatus includes: an input part 21 for accepting a user's indication; a display 22 for displaying an image; a device information storage part 24 wherein device information specifying a plurality of devices is stored; an initial picture display part 25a which displays an operation picture which logically represents operation indications which are made possible for the plurality of devices shown by the device information and includes operation icons showing classifications of operation indications, device icons showing the plurality of devices, and arrow lines showing flows of signals among the plurality of devices, on the display 22; a display change part 25b which changes the operation picture so as to perform enhanced display of a relevant position on the operation picture when an icon is specified; and an operation command generation part 27 which generates operation commands to be transmitted to devices.
