PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition having excellent load-bearing properties. SOLUTION: A lubricating oil composition is prepared by formulating a solid lubricant in a proportion of 0.1-5 wt.%, based on the composition, with a base oil comprising a synthetic oil, preferably at least one kind of a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, an ester-based synthetic oil and a glycol oil. The lubricating oil composition exhibits excellent load-bearing properties by the incorporation of PTFE or the like conventionally used as a solid lubricant in a lubricant such as grease to a lubricating oil. The resultant lubricating oil composition can effectively be used for various kinds of devices requiring the load-bearing properties such as a bearing, a bushing, a chain and a gear.
