PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module capable of preventing defective joining between a substrate and a flexible substrate even when a recessed part is provided on the lower surface of the substrate. SOLUTION: The camera module has a cylindrical holder 1 which holds a lens 2 and the substrate 3 which is disposed below the holder 1 and has, on its top surface, an imaging element 4 on which light from the lens 2 is condensed. The recessed part 20 is formed on the top surface of the substrate 3, and the flexible substrate 5 is fitted covering the recessed part 20, and a peripheral edge of the substrate 3 in contact with the flexible substrate 5 is coated with an adhesive 22 to the overall periphery, and a through hole 23 is bored in a closing part 5a closing the recessed part 20 of the flexible substrate 5.
