PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enclosed type grab bucket for dredging, which can positively open/close air vent holes formed in an enclosed structure defined by right and left shells, by openable lids having high strength at low cost, and prevents contamination in a peripheral area even if part of sediment in the shells leaks out of the openable lids. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the grab bucket, an outside opening surface 11 of each of the right and left shells 2 of the grab bucket 1 is covered with a steel sealing cover 20 to form the enclosed structure, and the air vent hole 21 is formed in an external surface of an upper plate 20a, followed by arranging the steel openable lid 22 for opening/closing the air vent hole 21. Specifically an outside edge of each openable lid is mounted on an outside rim of the air vent hole 21 via a hinge structure 23, and a steel stopper 24 is set under the hinge structure 23. Thus an outside projection of the hinge is abutted on the stopper to inhibit rotation of the openable lid, and therefore the openable lid 22 is prevented from opening to a predetermined angle or more. Further each sealing cover has a box-shaped catching pocket 30 arranged thereon so as to enclose the air vent hole 21 and the openable lid 22, and therefore mud and slurry flowing from the interior of the shell to the outside are prevented from leaking and retained in the same.
