PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a river water utilization system for cooling a building by effectively utilizing a river water. SOLUTION: In this river water utilization system 1 for effectively utilizing the river water 6, when the water level of a river 2 rises more than a predetermined one, a reservoir 3 for cooling and reserving the river water 6 is connected to the river 2 through a communication flow path 5. A water spray device 10 for spraying the cooled river water 6 reserved in the reservoir 3 onto the surface of a structure is connected to the reservoir 3 through a pump P.
