Alignment method, device and program for reducing the processing load. A partial point group in a first set of points extracted from an object reflected in one image and a partial point group in a second set of points extracted from an object reflected in the other image are used as reference, and the second set of points is aligned with the first set of points. Subsequently, the second set of points is aligned with the first set of points, by using as reference all the points in the first set of points and all the points in the second set of points thus aligned.
