A method for the continuous induction welding of metal and/or plastic or plastic fibre structures using a pressure application device (4), with an electrically-conductive material in a welding zone (3) heated by an inductor (10), in which the pressure is applied and the welding zone is heated at the same time. An independent claim is included for a welding system for the above process, in which the inductor (10) is integrated into the pressure application device (4).
