means (1) for making a supplied video signal into a high frame rate; means (2) for combining two or more video signals of high frame rate into one set and specifying a non-display region of video in respective frames of the set so that in each of the frames in the set, video is displayed only in a part of a screen and when all the frames of the set are combined, a video is displayed in all the regions of the screen; means (3) for masking the non-display region specified by the means (2) for each of the frames of the video signal made into the high frame rate; and means (4) for driving display means (6) so as to display the video signal masked by the means (3). This prevents re-imaging of video data protected by copyright, at a low cost.
