A system for marine seismic surveying comprises at least one marine seism ic streamer; at least one pressure sensor mounted in the at least one marine seismic streamer; at least one particle motion sensor mounted in the at lea st one marine seismic streamer and collocated with the at least one pressure sensor, wherein the at least one particle motion sensor has a resonance fre quency above 20 Hz; and computer means for combining pressure data from the at least one pressure sensor and particle motion data from the at least one particle motion sensor for further processing.
