<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product easy to mount, securely mounted, and not requiring burying of a core metal in a mounting structure of a weather strip which is mounted to a rear door provided with a decoration member on an outdoor side above a belt line of the automobile and seals the gap against a front door. <P>SOLUTION: The mounting structure of the weather strip for the automobile is provided with: a mounting base part 10 of an approximately U shape cross section mounted to a flange 3 formed on a front end part of the rear door 2 provided with a decoration member 4 on an outdoor side so as to be forwardly extended above the belt line BL of the automobile, and having an indoor side sidewall part 12 and an outdoor side sidewall part 13 provided standingly from a bottom wall part 11; and a seal part 20 standingly provided on an approximately intermediate portion of the outdoor side sidewall part 13 of the mounting base part 10 and resiliently contacted with a rear end of the front door 5. A gap between both rear end parts of the indoor side sidewall part 12 and the outdoor side sidewall part 13 of the mounting base part 10 is narrowed to clamp a base part of the flange 3, and a claw part 14 engaged with the decoration member 4 is provided on an outdoor side of the rear end of the outdoor side sidewall part 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
