PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle which can prevent a back-EMF generated in a motor from flowing as regeneration power to cause unintended regenerative braking.

SOLUTION: A taget voltage setting section 32 sets a taget voltage VHR variably depending on variation in parameter such as inverter cooling water temperature T. A gate interception control section 36 controls gate interception and release of an inverter. The gate interception control section 36 sets the threshold number of revolutions of a motor for releasing gate interception and starting zero torque control based on the target voltage VHR. The gate interception control section 36 releases gate interception when the number of revolutions of motor MRN exceeds the threshold and an inverter control section 38 performs zero torque control.
