<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and receiving method well suited also a communication method with which transmission pulse width in pulse communication is adjusted while sufficiently effectively utilizing the merit of ultra wide band (UWB) communication. <P>SOLUTION: A pulse signal received by an antenna 11 is amplified by a low noise amplifier (LNA) 12, and multiplied with a template pulse generated by a template pulse generating circuit 13 by a multiplier 14 to detect the pulse signal, and output of the multiplier 14 is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter (ADC) 15 and output. The output of the ADC 15 is supplied to a pulse number adjusting circuit 16 for adjusting the number of template pulses at the template pulse generating circuit 13 and upon receipt of a control signal, the template pulse generating circuit 13 changes the number of template pulses to be output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
