PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of making a user recognize the contents of the guidance indicated by the sound or voice if necessary while performing the guidance on the travelling direction and calling for attention without depending on the visual information. SOLUTION: The navigation device 100 which performs the guidance on the travelling direction and the calling for attention by the voice or vibration comprises the guidance contents output means 12 for making the contents of guidance voice output indicated by the sound, voice or vibration corresponding to the request of the user. The guidance contents output means 12 includes the number of traveled time memory means 13 for storing the traveled time of the guided route for route by route, and the necessity determination means 15 regarding the guidance contents for determining whether it is necessary to voice output the guidance contents indicated by the sound, voice, or vibration or not according to the number of traveled time stored by the number of traveled time memory means 13. When the guidance contents is determined necessary to output by the voice, the guidance contents indicated by the sound, voice, or vibration may be made to voice output.
