PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light beam pointer that reduces wobble of a position pointed by the pointer without complicating the device. SOLUTION: The light beam pointer includes a sensor for detecting an amount of pointer wobble, a light source having a plurality of light emitting part, and a control section which, based on an amount of pointer wobble, selects a light emitting part to be turned on from among the plurality of light emitting parts in order to suppress a variation in the optical axis of light emitted based on light from the light source.
