PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-drop detector capable of detecting a suitable amount of waterdrops where influence due to the temperature is suppressed, even if a polymer-based transparent electrode is used, and to provide a water-drop controller therefor. SOLUTION: The controller comprises a first and a second electrode 3 and 4 placed on the indoor side of the front glass of a vehicle that are made of a transparent high polymer material and face to each other; a capacitance detecting circuit 16 that detects the capacitance; a detection circuit 17 that detects the amount of rain drops adhered to the front glass, based on the capacitance detected; a temperature-detecting electrode 5 that produces a signal for representing the temperatures of the first and the second electrode 3 and 4; and a temperature correction circuit 20 that corrects the amount of rain drops so that a change that is based on temperatures of the first and the second electrode 3 and 4, in the amount of water-drops detected by the detection circuit 17 based on the signal produced.
