PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that sunken fireplaces only remain in old farmer's houses as a result that mountain forests in Japan are less thinned and mostly neglected because limited fossil fuel and no forest industry actors urge the import of cheap wood materials and insufficient care for upper-side mountains often causes the emergence of bears and wild boars from home mountains into towns to gives damage to human beings. SOLUTION: Although an old-time sunken fireplace existing in an old private home uses thinned woods as firewoods to improve home mountains, this relatively easy and safe sunken fireplace uses heat resistant plates. The edgings serve as comfortable safety barriers for children and aged men. The edgings are foldable in two directions and usable as dining tables to give more happy times to a family.
