PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the constructibility of a beam-column joint by means of a joint metal which is arranged between the side surface of a wooden column and the butt end of a wooden beam. SOLUTION: This method comprises: a step of embedding lag screws 12b and 12c in predetermined places on the column C and the beam B; a step of temporarily fixing a lower metal fitting 3 to the side surface of the column; a step of screwing a bolt 14 into a female screw of a head of the lag screw 12c through a bolt hole of a column-side plate of the temporarily-fixed lower metal fitting 3; a step of placing an upper metal fitting 2 on the top surface of a beam end, and screwing the bolt 14 into a female screw of a head of the lag screw 12b embedded in the beam through a bolt hole of a beam-side plate of the upper metal fitting 2; a screw of placing the undersurface of the beam end on the rib plate 6a of the lower metal fitting 3; a step of screwing the bolt 14 into the female screw of the head of the lag screw 12b through a bolt hole of a beam-side plate of the lower metal fitting 3; and a step of screwing the bolt 14 into the female screw of the head of the lag screw 12c through a bolt hole of a column-side plate of the upper metal fitting 2.
