摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of simply manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent cycle life. <P>SOLUTION: A negative active material is manufactured by a manufacturing method by a halogenation process which mixes and treats a material for a negative active material and an inorganic compound containing a halogen element. By manufacturing the negative active material by mixing and treating the material for the negative active material the inorganic compound containing the halogen element, reaction with an electrolyte was able to suppress. Although mixing and treatment in the halogenation process are specifically not limited if halogen can be introduced into the surface or the inside of the material for negative active material, by adopting mechanochemical treatment, the halogen element can be introduced more stably.
