<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor type opening/closing device enhanced in installation work performance and maintenance work performance, and a manufacturing method of the linear motor type opening/closing device. <P>SOLUTION: An opening/closing unit 20 supports a suspended roller 21 on the top end of an opening/closing main body 23 via a suspended roller supporting bracket 24, and a guide rail 70 has a cross-section of a nearly L shape. The suspending roller 21 is made to roll along the bottom piece of the guide rail 70.
